Last year’s Battle of the Chefs was novel and entertaining. Advice: You might want to hit one of those Miami Spice preview restaurants afterwards, because all of that fine cuisine made me hungry, and the crudités available to audience members just didn’t cut it. So don’t go starving.
The chefs get a bag of mystery ingredients. Forty-five minutes later they produce a three –course meal, which is judged by a panel of local foodies. The final battle features Edgar Leal of Cacao and Chris Wakeman of Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar. Wakeman won last month’s steak-off with Pedro Aguilar of Morton’s.
