Last year, I wrote in the Under the Sun blog about a Haitian cooking demonstration. I shared recipes and tips by Haitian cook and folklorist Liliane Nerette-Louis. That post about how to prepare griot (seasoned, fried pork), its accompanying pikliz hot sauce and acra (malanga fritters) garnered so many comments and emails from folks asking how they could learn more from Nerette-Louis.
So, I wanted to share some news of Nerette-Louis’s upcoming food demonstrations for all of those who are eager to learn more. Since she no longer lives in South Florida, it’s best to take advantage of these lessons when you can. And they’re free!
