A Little Help for a Friend

My friend, Leticia De Mello Bueno, asked me to help spread the word about about an event she’s helping put together for a colleague with cancer.  The “Cooking for a Friend” event is sponsored by the chef-instructors of Le Cordon Bleu Miami.  Humberto Guardiola, a fellow chef-instructor, recently started an aggressive cancer treatment.   Chef-instructors and students are putting together a dinner and silent auction to help the family with the medical bills.

The event is Saturday, August 13, at Le Cordon Bleu Miami (3221 Enterprise Way, Miramar).  The silent auction and cocktail reception by Hennessy VSOP  is at 6 pm, followed by dinner at 7:30 pm.  To donate to the silent auction, please contact leticia@gastronomisti.com.  The cost is $75 donation check made payable to cash or Humberto Guardiola.  RSVP to Vivian Liberman at 954-663-6808 or vliberman@miami.chefs.edu
