The bar at Lantao Kitchen + Cocktails
I know it seems like I’ve fallen off the face of the Earth, but I haven’t!
Here’s an update: The last updated post here is from April, which is when I got hired as Miami editor of Tasting Table , a national food and wine digital publication/email. I write about dining , drinks , wine and cooking in Miami. (You can subscribe to the Thursday and Friday emails to stay in the loop.)
I’ve been working hard on that as well as my other existing freelance work (at WLRN’s Under the Sun series, for example). However, you’ll be hearing more from here again in the fall. I’ve just been getting my ducks in a row and settling in with my new life since I went full time as a freelancer.
In the meantime, here’s what I’ve been up to of late at Tasting Table:
Garden of Eden: a Miami-centric tour of The Bazaar
Not Your Mother’s Empanadas: A music store is our new go-to spot for empanadas
Soju Hideaway: Cocktails at the other Lantao
I also post a list of promising food and drink events every Thursday.
Let me know what you think!
Also, I’ve reloaded the home page here at Miami Dish with some tasty seasonal offerings to tide you over, including a video about the Mangoes of Hawaii from last year’s Mango Fest and some ideas for what to do with all of those mangoes and avocados .
